| Antigen | 15-aa peptide from Rat ABCG8 (protein accession #P58248 refs 1); Designation (ABCG81-P, control or blocking peptide) |
| Form | Affinity purified IgG |
| Product Type | Primary Antibodies |
| SpCrossreactivity | Rat ABCG81-P control peptide is 100% conserved in rat ABCG-8 isoforms 1-3. It is 65% conserved in mouse ABCG8 and no appreciable conservation in human ABCG8. No significant conservation of ABCG31-P is observed with other ABCGs (ABCG1-7) or other proteins. Antibody reactivity and actual expression of various protein isoforms and their physiological relevance is not understood. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied. Control peptide, because of its low mol. Wt (<3 kDa), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1 ug of aff pure IgG or 1 ul antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity |
