SpCrossreactivityHuman PREF11-P sequence is 84% conserved in bovine, pig, 69% in mouse and 76% in rat Pref-1. Since the epitope of PREF11-S antibody is located near the extracellular N-terminus, this antibody will detect both the membrane and soluble forms of Pref-1. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied. Control peptide, because of its low mol. Wt (<3 kDa), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking experiments (use 5-10 ug control peptide per 1 ug of aff pure IgG or 1 ul antiserum) to confirm antibody specificity
